English Small-bore Shooting Union (ESSU)
We are the Governing Body responsible for selecting teams to represent England in the disciplines of small-bore rifle, air rifle, air pistol and 50m pistol shooting, primarily for the Commonweath Games but also for annual Home Countries International competitions. We have over 360 members, many of whom are active shooters who have represented England or who aspire to do so, but including many members who do not participate in competitive shooting but nevertheless are connected with the sport and wish to support England shooting, in particular with the development of Juniors and our Academy.

NOTICE OF AGM
Notice is herby given that the ESSU AGM will take place at on Saturday 2nd May at 5.30pm. Venue to be advised. Nick Clark has taken over as Acting Secretary following the death of Gill Goodfellow, who was due to stand down as an Officer by rotation this year anyway, but I will deal with Membership renewals for this year and continue to organise the ESSU Championships, so please address enquiries on those matters to me. (David Goodfellow - Chairman)
Nick has been proposed and seconded as Secretary, but nominations for Secretary and other Committee posts are open to all Members, as we have three vacant spaces on the Committee. The workload is currently being done by very few of us, so to keep the ESSU going strongly please volunteer and seek nominations for these positions. The pistol section is currently under-represented, so please get those nominations in as soon as possible because a ballot will have to be organised if there are more candidates than positions. Contact the Acting Secretary or the Chairman if you want details about the Committee responsibilities or further information about the role.
After login, Members can download a Nomination form from the 'AGM' section in the Downloads menu.
Membership of the ESSU for 2014-15 expired on 31st January. The 'period of grace' for renewing Membership expired on 31st March. Therefore, Membership has now lapsed for all of those who have not paid their annual fee. Those former members are therefore ineligible for the English Championships, TENS or any ESSU or England Team
Furthermore, they will no longer be able to login to the Members Area of this website and their e-mail addresses will be removed from the distribution list so, no further messages or reminders will be received. If you find that you can no longer login, then this probably applies to YOU!
Membership can be re-applied for by downloading and printing the application form or completing the on-line application, access from the Membership tab. Payment may be made by BACS or Cheque. If you pay by BACS please ensure that this is made to the correct account, (not the one that is used for ESSU Championship entries), otherwise, send the form and your cheque to the Secretary, (postal address on the form).
Your current plastic membership card is now invalid, but should be retained should you ever decide to re-join.
